In a world where we are obsessed with perfection, "Perfect", by Michael Heaton, reminds us that perfection does not actually exist. We are in the 1950s. A new invention is made, seeds that grow into "perfect" husbands and children. Patty is a very lonely woman and passionate about love films, precisely because in her opinion love is so simple there. Her neighbor, Martha, bought the seeds to have a perfect husband and daughter ready to love her. Patty, envious, decides to buy a packet of seeds that would allow her to have an entrepreneur husband with a lot of money. At first, the woman gets along very well with her new husband, Thomas. After some time, however, her husband asks her if they can have children. The woman will reply that they don't have enough money but the husband will reassure her by promising that he will take a second job to get more money. Patty, not convinced, decides to "throw her husband in the garbage" just as if he were a plant and decides to buy a new one. This film makes us reflect on perfection. These men and sons are not perfect only because they are obedient, loving and available, but also because they can be "thrown away" and others can be "planted". Perfection dear readers does not exist, we are all perfect in our own way because we are unique. A relationship can never be perfect and the relationship between parents and children cannot be perfect either. If the relationship is wanted by God and is solid, if there is truly love, the problems will be resolved. I think I can close here. Thanks for the attention!
