Fireproof (2008) Review

plot
The captain of a fire station in Albany, Georgia, Caleb Holt, is married to Catherine Holt, but after the fateful seven years of marriage their relationship is in crisis, worn out by differences of views on domestic life, work, money and hobby. The couple seems headed towards divorce when Caleb's father offers them one last singular attempt to save their marriage, a trial period called "The love dare". Despite the presence of a third wheel, Gavin Keller, who has a little too much attention for Catherine, thanks to faith in the end love will triumph and at the end of the "test" the two will re-celebrate their wedding, consecrating their bond with a pact before God.
opinion
Fireproof is in my opinion an excellent film. Not much is to be expected on the technical side. Few spectacular effects but actually there was no need. Fireproof is a beautiful love story so it doesn't need special effects. It makes us think a lot about the importance of marriage and how husband and wife must have a good relationship for the marriage to continue. I would add that it is important in marriage to have faith, great faith in God, and to always follow him. In fact, let us remember that marriage unites two people for life and entrusts the couple's relationship to God. So... Yes, I recommend Fireproof to anyone, it's a good film and makes us reflect on the importance of faith.
Details
I'll add a detail... the actor of the protagonist requested to kiss his wife in the kissing scenes between the two protagonists. Furthermore, the protagonist's actor is a Minister of religion.
The director at the time of the film's production was also a minister of religion.
